Summer Concerts on tour 2023
In the summer of 2023, Sounds for Freedom went on tour with 'Summer Sounds on tour'. We gave workshops for refugee children from 5 to 12 years old in temporary shelter locations in Amsterdam. We sang, danced, made music with small instruments and above all had a lot of fun! The children learned songs that were specially composed for this target group. We mainly practiced the refrains, because they are easy to sing along to and easy to learn in one workshop. The workshops ended with a small performance for the parents. ​

Concerts in the OBA
At the library in Amsterdam, the OBA, we gave ten concerts combined with film viewings. The concert was an interactive performance for refugee children and also Amsterdam children, where the songs were integrated into the story.
A professional singer and actress with a band performed for the kids.​ During the concert, the children sang along to the songs they had learned during the workshop.
